- 'Business day' is not separately defined in 2924m; modeled as the next court day. Civ. Code 9 would treat a Saturday as a business day; to be safe, submit by 5 p.m. on the next calendar day that is not a Sunday or holiday if that is earlier. Civ. Code 2924m as amended by Stats. 2024, ch. 601, sec. 10 (SB 1146); repealed as of Jan. 1, 2031 by its own terms. Applies to trustee's sales of real property with one to four residential units.
- If the clerk's office is closed or inaccessible on the last day (weather, emergency or local closure orders), the deadline may be extended. Check local orders.
